Dragoncon - 2009

Starship Farragut will be attending Dragon-Con 2009 this year for the first time during Labor Day weekend (September 4 – September 7, 2009) in Atlanta, GA.

Dragon-Con is the largest multi-media and pop culture convention that focuses on science fiction and fantasy. As it relates to those areas, it extends itself to films, TV shows, gaming, comics, literature, art and music. For Dragon-Con, TrekTrak is its Star Trek convention segment and is devoted to Star Trek in all its various forms. They celebrate the original Star Trek, the animated series, the motion pictures, The Next Generation, and the other TV spin-offs. TrekTrak provides fan programming with its wide variety of guest panels, discussion topics and presentations.

This year, Starship Farragut will be on the TrekTrak programming circuit and presenting our award-winning episode, “A Rock and a Hard Place” and “Power Source” – first ever, animated version of the live action series (filmed in the same Filmation style of Star Trek from the 1970’s and spearheaded by Farragut Films’ partner, NEO f/x), which will be shown for the first publicly in its entirety. Dawn Cowings, member of the Starship Farragut team and known from Star Wars: Revelations, Pitching Lucas, and TRENCHES fame, will be representing our group and entertaining discussions. Dawn will be providing free Starship Farragut DVDs of all our film efforts to date. Please check out the TrekTrak circuit – Friday, at 2:30 PM.
