Utopia Film Festival Farragut Films has made it into the 2009 Utopia Film Festival with not one, but two Starship Farragut productions! The festival will take place in and around Greenbelt, Maryland from October 19 to 25. "For Want of a Nail" will be screened on October 24th at 6 pm at the Academy 14 Stadium Theaters in the Beltway Plaza Mall (6198 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, Maryland). "A Rock and a Hard Place" was selected as well, but will not be screened due to scheduling constraints. Celebrating its fifth year, the Utopia Film Festival desires passionately to identify, promote and engage entertaining and enlightening cinematic works of all genres and styles. Seeking always to provide its audience and filmmakers an enjoyable experience, this event also pursues works that tackle humanity's never ending quest, in all its variables, for the perfect 'utopian' existence. Farragut Films is one of several filmmaker groups invited to speak at the festival. We will be at the screening of "For Want of a Nail" to answer questions, display props and costumes. We will also be giving away complimentary DVDs of our productions. Working with Chris Haley, the Executive Director of the festival, Eric Lund and Mark Hildebrand filmed and produced the promotional video "Utopia: Salvation!" You can watch it on YouTube here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7cmypFspC8&feature=player_embedded.
